The phrase “guilty until proven innocent” is a good way to describe this very sad situation. Once a man, or a woman for that matter, is accused of this type of behavior, it doesn’t even matter if they are in the right or in the wrong. It will always be in the minds of the people and will follow them all of their life. Being from a small town makes it even worse when you know everyone and everyone knows you. I feel for Officer Dunn and his family.

This is my nephew and I love him. I have been so concerned about his well being for almost a year now. His Dr. convinced him he did not need the medication that kept him “normal”. Everyone in Altha knows him but I’m sure they, also, knew he has not been himself for quite a while now. It is a shame that our country does not have provisions for people with John’s diagnosis to get the help they need. It would help if law enforcement got some extra training to teach them to handle the mentally ill without beating them up. I wonder if Trooper Jones had any bruises, black eyes or any signs of a struggle on him. It’s a pity the photographer didn’t get a picture of him, also.

Once a man is accused of this, He is automatically guility in the public’ view. He has to prove himself innocent, and peolpe still belives that he might had done something.
This man did nothing wrong, and a meth head costed him his job and career.
