BLOUNTSTOWN - Charles Drew, 71, of Blountstown, passed away at his home surrounded by his family Saturday, April, 8, 2017. He was born July 3, 1945.
A truck driver for many years, he was known by his handle “Screaming Jimmy.” He was an outdoors man, a Christian and a man who loved his family more then words can say.
He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Hosford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Viree Drew; two brothers, John and J. R. Drew; his sister, Velma Drew; and his wife, Betty Sue Drew.
Survivors included his son, Charles “Buddy” Drew and his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Cynthia Drew, Dianne Bryant and her husband, Billy Joe, Teresa Johnson and her husband, Steve, Chastity Couch and her husband, Terry and Peggy Langston and her husband, Charles; brothers Howard Drew and Jupiter Drew; a sister, Mary Ann Silcox; stepson, Ricky Couch; stepdaughter, Cristle Taylor; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 11 at 11 a.m. ET at Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol with Pastor Kyle Peddie officiating.
Memorial contributions maybe made to help with the finial arrangements, there is an account set up at Calhoun Liberty Employee Credit Union in Blountstown.
