Sadie Mae Paul

BLOUNTSTOWN - Sadie Mae Paul, 83, of Blountstown, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 in Blountstown. She was born Sept. 26, 1933 in Bonifay, and had lived in Blountstown since 1969.

She worked for Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for 25 years and also worked at Hartford Shirt Factory in Hartford, AL for several years. She was a member of Macedonia First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Paul, Jr.; her parents, Clarence Council Payne and Ola Mae Marlow Payne Elmore; and a brother, Don Payne.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Paul and his wife, Deborah of Blountstown and Tony Paul and his wife, Subaida of the Philippines; two brothers, Clarence C. Payne, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Conroe, TX and Bobby Elmore and his wife, Alice of Tallahassee; three sisters, Delphia Keel of Kinard, Geraldine Marks and her husband, Bobby and Gerrie Allen and her husband, Keith, all of Tallahassee; four grandchildren, Amanda Paul, Abigail Norfield, Christian Alexander Paul and Andrea Paul; six great-grandchildren, Dewayne Paul Laramore, Lindsey Laramore, Adan Gregory, Jeffery Ash Varnum, Jacob Clenney and Alex Paul; as well as many friends and family and her pet dog Diddy.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. CT Friday, March 17 at Macedonia First Baptist Church, 20262 NW Macedonia Road, Blountstown, FL 32424 with Rev. David Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Nettle Ridge Cemetery in Blountstown.

Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown is in charge of the arrangements.
