Gerald Lamar Dudley

ALTHA - Gerald Lamar Dudley, 87, of Altha, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 in Blountstown. He was born on Oct. 12, 1929 in Jackson County to James Noah and Pearl Cook Dudley. He was a forest ranger and a vending machine maintenance person. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bristol.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gerald Dudley, Jr.; and a daughter, Jane Dudley.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Dudley and James Dudley, both of San Francisco, CA; three daughters, Julie, Christine and Victoria, all of San Francisco, CA; a sister-in-law, Vera Dudley of Altha;  several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 7 at 1 p.m. at Waldroff Cemetery in Grand Ridge with Jack Strader officiating. Interment followed.

Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown was in charge of the arrangements.
