Colleen Royer Yon Green

BRISTOL - Colleen Royer Yon Green, 78, of Bristol, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Tallahassee. She was born Sept. 25, 1938 in DeQuincy, LA to Fred and Evelyn Hoosier Royer. She had many careers.  She worked for Dr. Lewis James Adkins of Blountstown. She was a realtor in Melbourne where she was Realtor Associate of the Year and served as the director of Melbourne Area Board of Realtors. For the last 22 years, she assisted her husband in management of K.P. Green Logging.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Gene Yon; and her second husband, Kenneth Green.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie LaRosa of Tallahassee, Jeannie Violi and Anne Yon Layton, both of Melbourne; a stepson, Henry Green and his wife, Brenda of Bristol; her mother-in-law, Agnes Green of Bristol; her brother, Joe Royer and his wife, Shirley of Iowa, LA; a sister, Judy Langford and her husband, Robert of Navarre; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Daniel, John Michael, Lauren and Claire; five great-grandchildren, Logan, Kayla, Ava, John Riley and Bennett; two step-grandchildren, Ashley Everett and Dillan Green; five nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Angie.

Services were held Monday, March 6 at 11 a.m. at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown with Rev. Jerry Chumley officiating. Interment followed in Lake Mystic Baptist Cemetery.

Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown was in charge of the arrangements.
