Lottie Mae Barton

ALTHA - Lottie Mae Barton, 81, of Altha, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 in Altha. She was born in Calhoun County on Oct. 18, 1935 to Oscar and Ethel Bodiford Hall. She was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and worked as a seamstress. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and a member of Sunny Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Edward Barton; and her great-grandson, Colt O’Bryan.

Survivors include five children, Hilda Willis and her husband, James and Carol O’Bryan and her husband, Johnny, all of Altha, Huston Barton and his wife, Lynne of Sink Creek, Marilyn Russell and her husband, John of Blountstown and Mike Barton and his wife, Janet of Scotts Ferry; a daughter-in-law, Betty Hunt of Altha; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 25 from 6-8 p.m. CT at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.

Services will be held Sunday, Feb. 26 at 22 p.m. CT at Sunny Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Dwayne Tolbert and Pastor David Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha.

Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown is in charge of the arrangements.
