Three charged after guns stolen from Hosford home
Three people have been charged in connection with the theft of three rifles, a compound bow, fishing equipment and a fish fryer taken last month from a Hosford residence.
Kaylen Skyler Burke, 25, of Bristol was arrested Jan. 31 for grand theft, grand theft of a firearm and dealing in stolen property.
Albury Kathleen Brown, 37, of Bristol, was charged with dealing in stolen property and Harold A. Arroye, 49, of Bristol was charged with dealing in stolen property and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon after purchasing the guns for $25 each.
Brown told an investigator that when she and Arroye met with Burke she realized who the guns belonged to. She said she told Arroye to buy the guns so they could “give them back” to the owner.
The pair then went to a friend’s house to do some squirrel shooting. The friend realized who the guns belonged to and contacted the owner.
Burke returned the third gun to the owner, who then questioned him about the missing compound bow, fish cooker and LP gas bottle. Burke said he sold them all to a friend for $100 but would not identify the friend.
