Sylvia Roxanne Thomas Shuler
QUINCY – Sylvia Roxanne Thomas Shuler, 79, of Quincy, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 at her home. Born in Miami, she was the wife of William Robert Carson Shuler for 62 years, and was the daughter of the late Joel and Peche’ Thomas. She was a member of the Christen Science Church.
She lived most of her life in Miami, where she worked at AT&T until retirement in 1989. Then moving to Quincy with the love of her life William.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Angela, Rosemary and Joel.
Survivors include her four daughters, Debbie (Chuck) of Lavonia, GA, Donna of Gainesville, Diana (Don) of Tallahassee and Peche’(Steve) of Chesapeake, VA; eight grandchildren, Steven (Terri), Mike (Coty), Christina, James, David (Hope), Daniel, Caleb and Derek; four great-grandchildren, Joshah, Christopher, Brion and Annalise; a great-great-grandchild, Haley; and many other beloved extended family members.
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 14 at Pioneer Baptist Church in Crawfordville with Pastor James R. Bridwell and Pastor David A. Bridwell officiating. Interment followed at Pioneer Baptist Church Cemetery.
David Conn of Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey-Young Chapel in Crawfordville was in charge of the arrangements.
