Nancy DeHart Shuler
HOSFORD - Nancy DeHart Shuler, of Hosford, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 at her home in Hosford, after a battle with cancer. She was raised in Pennsylvania by her father, Charles DeHart and mother, Doris DeHart.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she had previously worked for the State of Florida, ran a day care center, and was the post master of the Hosford Post Office, from which she retired in 2014. She was a volunteer at her children’s schools and was previously a den mother for Troop 200 of the Cub Scouts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brothers, Ralph.
Survivors include her husband, Jacob Shuler; three children, Adam and his wife, Amy, Zebulon and Isaac; two sisters, Carolyn and Ruth; one brother, Robert; four grandchildren, Brittany, Luke, Katelyn and Tucker; and numerous close friends for whom she counted as family.
Services were held Thursday, Jan. 19 with interment at Shuler Cemetery in Hosford.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the National Breast Foundation.
