A woman who had been staying at a Bristol home was arrested Dec. 29 after she allegedly pulled a knife on one of her hosts.
Bridgett Elder, 27, was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
When a deputy was called to the scene around 7:35 p.m., Elder claimed that the victim, Devonte Deveaux, had punched her in the eye.
Deveaux denied the allegation. He said after they got into an argument, Elder pulled a knife on him and he pushed her face to keep her away. He said she called 911 and started rubbing water in her eye, causing it to turn red.
He had a small laceration on his arm, which he said the woman caused.
Elder admitted to a deputy that she did pull a knife on the man.
A witness at the home reported seeing Elder grab a large butcher knife and rush toward Deveaux, but did not see what happened after that.
