James Curtis “Jim” Pruette, Jr.

BLOUNTSTOWN -  James Curtis “Jim” Pruette, Jr., 63, of Blountstown, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at his home. He was born on Sept. 9, 1953 in Mobile, AL and had lived in Blountstown since 2006, coming from Crestview.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of American Legion in Blountstown. He worked as an Avionics Technician for several years.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Lunsford of Milton; his wife of 10 years, Rita Smith of Blountstown; a son, Samuel Wesley Pruette and his wife, Anca of Lynn Haven; two daughters, Summer Pruette of Virginia Beach, VA and Sarah Kibbey and her husband, Shane of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Ralph Pruette of Milton; a sister, Robin Bishop and her husband, Kelly of Texarkana, AR; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. CT at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown with Dale Ivey officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.

Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown is in charge of the arrangements.
