Frances Jeanette Povey

BLOUNTSTOWN - Frances Jeanette Povey, 83, of Blountstown, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, in Blountstown. She was born on April 29, 1933 in Altha, to Ira and Bessie Martin Fowler.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Calhoun County for most of her life. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Holley of Pensacola and Chuck Halley of Blountstown; one daughter, Teresa Halley of Altha; one sister, Janice Russell of Ocean Springs, MS; three grandchildren, Christopher Bailey, Travis McCardle and Brandon McCardle; two great-grandchildren, Blake Bailey and Montana Bailey; and one great-great-grandchild.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. CT at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown. Interment will follow at Nettle Ridge Cemetery in Blountstown.

Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown is in charge of the arrangements.
