Donald “Donnie” Edward Curlee

COTTONDALE - Donald “Donnie” Edward Curlee, 63, of Cottondale, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 in Cottondale. He was born on June 3, 1953 in Jacksonville to Edward and Lunette Clay Curlee. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a high tech electrician. He had lived in Calhoun County for most of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Blountstown High School and was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ricky Curlee; and his daughter, April Curlee.

Survivors include his loving wife, Cathy Curlee of Cottondale; three sons, Wade Curlee of Hosford, Jeff Varnum of Blountstown and Kevin Varnum and his wife, Jessica of Grand Ridge; two daughters, Ashley Curlee of Chipley and Daphne Griffin and her husband, Waylon of Altha; two sisters, Lisa Mercer and her husband, Wade of Blountstown and Wanda Johnson and her husband, Phil of Blountstown; and 10 grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time. Memorialization will be by cremation.

Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown is in charge of the arrangements.
