Delatha “Lacy” Walker
CHATTAHOOCHEE - Delatha Walker was born in Chattahoochee on July 30, 1954 to the late Mrs. Freddie Mae Walker and Reverend Leonard J. Walker, Jr. On Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 she, who was affectionately known by most as “Lacy”, peacefully departed from this earthly home and answered the call from the Lord for her eternal heavenly home.
Survivors include her father, Reverend Leonard James Walker, Sr. (Inez) of Cincinnati, OH; two sons, Leonard James Walker III and Koron Ali Daniels, both of Tallahassee; two daughters, Africa Amour Wilson of Atlanta, GA and Zarien Atavia Colson (Anthony) of Quincy; a brother, Zeddie Lee Jones of Birmingham, AL; four sisters, Janice Sheard of Chattahoochee, Willie Mae Battle of Cairo, GA, Theresa Wood of Kileen, TX and Tammy Pollock of Quincy; nine grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 5 at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Chattahoochee.
Crawford and Moultry Funeral Home in Chattahoochee was in charge of the arrangements.
